Edibles Guidelines

There are quite a number of rules and regulations governing the sale of food items online. These rules vary from state to state so it's important that you conduct your due diligence and make sure you are compliant with your particular state's laws. These laws apply, but are not limited, to:

Your kitchen
Your equipment
Your ingredients
Your labels
Your packaging

It is each food Seller's obligation to comply with the rules and regulations of their respective states.

If you want to sell food items on TheWeddingMile.com, but you're not sure how or where to start, we suggest calling your local city hall or chamber of commerce for resources.

Visit the FDA website for national guidelines, and call your state and local health agencies for information on permits, licenses, and applicable regulations.

It's also important to research and understand your local zoning and licensing laws. Call your Town Hall and speak with the county clerks for relevant information.

We request that food Sellers list all their ingredients in the description area of each listing. We encourage them to also list nutritional information (via text or image) for visitors to see. Please be sensitive to potential dietary restrictions or allergies and list whatever information you feel may be helpful to Buyers.
